Singapore FinTech Rebounds with $544.2 Million Raised

The Singaporean FinTech ecosystem staged a strong recovery in the second quarter of 2026, pulling in $544.2 million across 11 completed deals. This represents a dramatic 3.4-fold increase over Q1 2026, which marked a market low point with just $160 million raised across 14 funding rounds.

On a year-over-year basis, Q2 2026 funding remained virtually unchanged from the $543.5 million generated in Q2 2025. However, the market achieved this identical capital total with nearly half the transaction volume—11 deals compared to 20 deals in the same period last year—highlighting a significant consolidation in venture activity.

Investors Shift Focus to Larger, Higher-Value Deals

A defining trend of Q2 2026 was the sharp uptick in transaction sizing. The average deal value climbed to $49.5 million, marking the highest level seen over the past five quarters.

This figure represents an 82% surge from the $27.2 million average recorded in Q2 2025 and is more than four times higher than the $11.4 million average seen in Q1 2026. Rather than spreading risk across numerous seed and early-stage rounds, venture backers are increasingly concentrating their capital on mature, market-leading platforms.

Atome Financial Secures $149 Million to Fuel Expansion

Headline activity for the quarter was anchored by buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) and digital finance platform Atome Financial, which raised $149 million from its parent company, Advance Intelligence Group.

The capital injection is structured to accelerate Atome’s next stage of growth and boost operating leverage across Southeast Asia. The platform, which enables shoppers to split payments into interest-free installments across thousands of online and physical retailers, has demonstrated strong underlying unit economics. After turning its first full-year profit in 2024, Atome generated over $500 million in net revenue on $6 billion in gross merchandise volume (GMV) in FY2025.
