Kanye West Banned From Twitch After Just 7 Minutes

Kanye West, now known as Ye, experienced a swift ban from Twitch, the popular streaming platform, a mere seven minutes after launching his channel. The incident occurred on Friday, April 25, 2025, marking a dramatic entry and exit for the controversial rapper.

West’s brief Twitch appearance was marred by offensive remarks, including antisemitic slurs and disparaging comments directed toward the LGBT+ community, according to reports from The Daily Beast. Dressed in a black jacket and Prada sunglasses, West reportedly launched into a tirade and also performed a Nazi salute, proclaiming “Heil Hitler.”

He further claimed that Elon Musk had granted him “free passes” to post discriminatory messages on social media platforms and made disparaging comments about his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

Twitch swiftly responded, replacing West’s page with a message stating: “This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.”

Prior to the ban, West had not even reached 220 followers.

This incident follows a pattern of controversial behavior from West, including a recent video featuring him posing with white supremacist Nick Fuentes while wearing a diamond-encrusted swastika necklace. The video, which was later deleted from X, showed West introducing Fuentes as his “white supremacist homeboy.”

Earlier in February, actor David Schwimmer urged Elon Musk to ban West from X following a series of antisemitic posts. West had written, “I’m a Nazi,” and “I don’t like or trust no Jewish person.”

Schwimmer stated, “We can’t stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate-filled, ignorant bile… but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr Musk.”

The Twitch ban adds to the growing list of platforms taking action against West for his repeated offensive and hateful speech. The incident has sparked further debate about the responsibility of social media platforms in regulating user content and preventing the spread of hate speech.
