Key Highlights of Singaporean FinTech Investment in Q2 2026:

  • Total FinTech funding in Singapore jumped 3.4x quarter-on-quarter in Q2.
  • Average deal size surged 82% year-on-year to $49.5 million as investors favored larger allocations.
  • Buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) leader Atome Financial secured a massive $149 million capital injection, standing out as one of the quarter’s flagship deals.

Singapore FinTech Investment Rebounds Strongly in Q2 2026

Singapore’s FinTech sector generated $544.2 million in funding across 11 transactions during the second quarter of 2026. While this total closely matches the $543.5 million recorded in Q2 2025, the market achieved an almost identical funding outcome with nearly half the deal count, down from 20 deals a year prior.

The quarter-on-quarter recovery highlights a dramatic turnaround. In Q1 2026, the sector hit a temporary low point, raising just $160 million across 14 transactions. Despite fewer total deals in Q2, overall capital raised surged 3.4-fold, confirming that the early 2026 slowdown was a brief trough. The latest data demonstrates that Singapore’s FinTech ecosystem maintains strong capacity for high-value funding even amid a narrowing deal flow.

Average Deal Size Climbs 82% to $49.5 Million

The average FinTech deal value in Singapore reached $49.5 million during Q2 2026—a significant increase compared to recent quarters. This represents an 82% rise over the $27.2 million average recorded in Q2 2025 and more than four times the $11.4 million average seen in Q1 2026.

This upward shift highlights a broader market pivot toward high-conviction, concentrated investments. Rather than distributing venture capital broadly across a higher volume of early-stage startups, investors are increasingly focusing capital into a select group of established market leaders.

Atome Financial Secures $149 Million Capital Injection

Reflecting this preference for high-impact investments, Southeast Asian BNPL and consumer finance platform Atome Financial closed a $149 million round from its parent company, Advance Intelligence Group. The transaction stands out as one of the largest FinTech deals completed in Singapore during the second quarter.

The capital will be used to accelerate Atome’s next growth phase as the business focuses on scaling operating leverage and driving sustained regional profitability. The platform allows shoppers to split retail purchases into three interest-free installments across thousands of online and offline merchant partners spanning fashion, electronics, travel, and lifestyle categories.

Atome’s financial performance has accelerated in recent years. The company achieved its first full-year profit in 2024, delivering a 63% jump in operating income to $236 million on more than $2 billion in Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV). In FY2025, the platform surpassed $500 million in net revenue while scaling total GMV to $6 billion.
