A technologist on Elon Musk’s DOGE team, known as “Big Balls,” allegedly provided technical support to a cybercrime ring prior to joining the government initiative, according to a Reuters exclusive.

Edward Coristine, a prominent figure in the DOGE project aimed at streamlining U.S. government operations, reportedly assisted a group called “EGodly” around 2022, while still in high school. EGodly boasted about hacking government emails and cyberstalking an FBI agent.

Reuters’ investigation reveals that Coristine’s company, DiamondCDN, offered network services to EGodly. Records indicate that EGodly’s website, dataleak.fun, utilized internet protocol addresses linked to DiamondCDN between October 2022 and June 2023.

In a Telegram post from February 2023, EGodly thanked DiamondCDN for providing DDoS protection and caching systems.

Neither Coristine nor the “Department of Government Efficiency” team responded to requests for comment. Coristine is listed as a “senior advisor” at the State Department and CISA.

EGodly’s Telegram channel has been inactive for a year. The FBI agent targeted by the group, now retired, stated that EGodly drew law enforcement attention due to its connection to swatting.

Nitin Natarajan, former CISA deputy director, expressed concern that someone with connections to EGodly has access to government networks.
