Airbnb Ditches Hidden Fees: Full Pricing Now Standard

No more surprises at checkout! Airbnb has officially rolled out a global update displaying the complete cost of your stay – including those pesky cleaning fees – right from the start of your search. This move aims to provide greater transparency and a smoother booking experience for users worldwide.

Previously, users had to enable a toggle to view the total price, a feature introduced after facing pressure regarding fee transparency, especially from European regulators. While the toggle option proved popular, with almost 17 million users utilizing it since 2022, Airbnb has now integrated full price visibility as the default setting.

Now, when you search for accommodations on Airbnb, you’ll see a clear banner at the top of the results page indicating that “Prices include all fees.” This excludes taxes, which will still be calculated separately. This streamlined approach ensures that travelers can accurately assess the total cost of their trip without navigating through multiple pages.

This update simplifies the booking process and reinforces Airbnb’s commitment to clear and upfront pricing, making it easier for travelers to budget and plan their adventures.
