AI Strikes: Tech YouTuber’s 350K+ Subscriber Channel Terminated, Blames Automated System

A prominent tech YouTuber, known as ‘Enderman’, has seen multiple channels, including their primary account with over 350,000 subscribers, summarily terminated. The content creator asserts these drastic actions were “wrongfully” executed by Artificial Intelligence, allegedly without any human oversight or intervention.

Automated Enforcement Leads to Unexpected Closures

Concerns for Enderman’s YouTube future began when a secondary channel was abruptly removed from the platform. The stated reason for this termination was an alleged failure to comply with YouTube’s Terms of Service, specifically citing its association with a non-English speaking channel that had accumulated three or more copyright strikes. Enderman vehemently denies any knowledge of this associated channel or the language it represented.

Following this initial termination, Enderman published a video on November 3, cautioning fans that their main channel could face a similar fate. Unfortunately, these fears were realized, leading Enderman to squarely attribute the issue to YouTube’s increasing reliance on AI for content moderation and account enforcement.

Creator Blasts YouTube’s AI-Driven Decisions

In the November 3 video, which has since been re-uploaded across various platforms, the tech content creator articulated deep frustration with YouTube’s decision-making processes. “It wrongfully concluded my channel was associated with a channel that was terminated for three copyright strikes,” Enderman explained. “I don’t freaking know what channel that is!”

Citing previous difficulties in communicating with human representatives from YouTube’s creator support team, Enderman pointed directly to AI as the entity responsible for erroneously linking their secondary channel to an unfamiliar foreign account, which subsequently triggered the termination of both channels.

“I had no idea such drastic measures like channel termination were allowed to be processed by AI,” Enderman lamented. “It’s really unfortunate we have to end so abruptly. I’ve really just lost all hope at this point. Shame on YouTube.”

A Warning to the Creator Community

This incident prompted Enderman to issue a stark warning to fellow content creators, advising them to view YouTube as a supplementary endeavor and to prepare for the possibility of their channels disappearing without warning. The tech YouTuber argued that others could also become “bullied” by YouTube’s automated AI enforcement systems.

As of now, YouTube has not released a public statement regarding Enderman’s account terminations. In the interim, concerned fans have begun archiving Enderman’s extensive library of videos, aiming to preserve the creator’s work from being entirely erased.
