Elmo’s X Account Breached: Profane Posts Target Trump, Demand Epstein Files

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the beloved Sesame Street character, Elmo, was reportedly compromised on Sunday. A series of highly offensive and graphic messages appeared on the public timeline, including racist and anti-Semitic content, before being promptly deleted as control was seemingly restored.

For a brief period, less than half an hour, the compromised account for the iconic red monster disseminated uncensored posts. Despite the short live duration, screenshots and reactions rapidly spread across the platform, highlighting the immediate and widespread impact of the cyberattack.

Among the disturbing messages were vile anti-Semitic and anti-Israel hate messages. The hacked account also explicitly demanded that former President Donald Trump, who was referred to with highly vulgar and derogatory terms, including a “child fucker” and a “puppet” of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, release the comprehensive Epstein files.

One particular post mentioned names of individuals accused by the hacked account of being responsible for the breach; however, these names have been deliberately omitted from this report.

As of the time of this publication, neither the @Elmo account nor the official @SesameStreet account has issued a statement or provided an explanation regarding the security incident or how the takeover occurred.

WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT was distributed during the hack.

This is a developing story and may be updated as further information becomes available regarding the cybersecurity incident affecting the prominent children’s media figure.
