13246

A recent report by PwC highlights a significant shift in the asset and wealth management industry, revealing that integrating wealth management with FinTech solutions is seen as a primary catalyst for future revenue growth. The comprehensive study, which surveyed 300 global leaders, provides a forward-looking perspective on trends shaping the sector through 2030.

Wealth Management Leaders Pinpoint FinTech Integration as Top Growth Factor

A striking finding from PwC’s “Asset and Wealth Management Revolution 2025” report indicates that half of the surveyed leaders (50%) believe the convergence of wealth management and FinTech will have the most profound impact on revenue growth by 2030. This highlights a strong industry consensus on the increasing demand for comprehensive, digitally-powered client offerings.

Beyond FinTech integration, the survey identified other crucial trends. Increased tokenisation and the adoption of digital assets were cited by 38% of respondents, while 36% pointed to broader cross-sector convergence across the financial services landscape. These insights underscore the strategic imperative for firms to control the client interface, data analytics, and robust distribution channels, especially as many asset managers increasingly leverage third-party platforms and delegated mandates to achieve scale and resilience.

Private Markets and Digital Assets: Engines for Enduring Growth

The PwC survey also emphasized the pivotal roles of private markets and tokenisation in fostering long-term industry expansion. Acknowledging the consistently high profitability of private markets, respondents anticipate that the democratisation of private markets (33%) and the convergence between public and private markets (32%) will significantly contribute to future revenues.

Innovations such as tokenised funds, semi-liquid investment vehicles, and evolving regulatory frameworks are actively reducing barriers to entry, thereby broadening investor access to these lucrative segments. While these advancements promise new opportunities, they are simultaneously intensifying competition and exerting pressure on profit margins. Collectively, these trends signal a fundamental transformation in how asset managers cultivate growth, placing convergence, technological innovation, and digital strategies at the core of sustainable value creation.
